I need info on electric wheelchair repair and operation?

I have a friend who broke his back and needs his Wheelchair repaired, I’m pretty good at electrical and electronic repair and have worked on medical equipt. before. I understand motors and operation but am a little weak on controls but I am a quick study.
More info is needed. What type of control system does the chair use, a modern or older chair for example. The electronic circuitry is fairly straight forward, but without more information little can be done. If you can locate my email on this site, write me and I’ll try to help. I have 36 years experience in electronic control systems.

If you don’t understand what you are doing, get someone who does. You could end up doing a lot more damage.
